Truck Driver Injured on Bolsa Chica Road

WESTMINSTER — A Huntington Beach man suffered major head injuries Wednesday when his flatbed truck hit a car in front of him, swerved into oncoming traffic and was hit by two other cars, police said.
Greggory Knapp, 21, was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange after the 3:15 p.m. accident, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The cause of the collision was uncertain, Sgt. Dwight Moore said.
Knapp was driving south on Bolsa Chica Road near Duncannon Avenue when he struck a car ahead of him, then collided with a northbound car and pickup truck.
The other drivers apparently weren’t injured.
