NASA Pact: Irvine Sensors Corp. has won an 18-month, $495,000 NASA contract to demonstrate a fast electronic image stabilization system.
The company said Tuesday that it will build a test unit capable of giving camera systems on low-orbit satellites for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration the same kind of image stability typically found only on larger, more expensive satellite systems orbiting at higher altitudes.
Irvine Sensors, based in Costa Mesa, develops infrared devices and computer electronics with broad applications in military and commercial systems.
