MOMA Curator Gets Grant to Acquire Art

Sheryl Conkelton, who recently left the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for the similar position of associate curator of photography at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, has received a 1993 Curator’s Grant from Santa Monica’s Peter Norton Family Foundation.
Conkelton can use the $25,000 prize to acquire contemporary art for MOMA. The annual grant was established to help museums in the development of their permanent collections.
