Gallegly, Beilenson Free of Lobby Funds in ’92

Ventura County Reps. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) and Anthony C. Beilenson (D-Woodland Hills) did not give any speeches to special-interest groups or accept any trips funded by such interests in 1992, according to financial reports released last week.
Beilenson, whose 24th District includes most of Thousand Oaks, has long refrained from accepting any speaking fees or travel reimbursements. Congressional rules require that such payments be given to charity.
Gallegly has not given any speeches that involved fees in recent years. His 23rd District includes Carpinteria and all of Ventura County except most of Thousand Oaks.
