Turn Tables on Termites

Are termites eating you out of house and home?
Get even. Eat them.
“Insects are very high-protein and are a good source of . . . minerals and vitamins as well, making them a good complement to plant protein,” Sally H. Love, director of the Insect Zoo at the Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., told the Raleigh (N.C.) News & Observer.
The recipe is simple:
Take the desired quantity of termites and roast them in the oven until crispy. Remove from heat and enjoy. “When they’re roasted, they have sort of a vegetable-like flavor, or even lobster,” Love said.
Live adult termites taste like pineapple, she added.
