Venice : Free Beach Shuttle Resumes
After a two-year absence, the shuttle service carrying beach-goers to Venice Beach is running again.
The free summertime shuttle will operate every weekend through Sept. 6. The bus runs every 10 minutes from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. from the DASH bus lot at the Marina Business Center at 4503 Glencoe Ave., just off the Marina Expressway. All-day parking costs $2.50. The route ends near the beach at Pacific and Windward avenues, in the vicinity of the Venice Pavilion. Passengers can ride the bus back to their cars from the same stop.
The beach shuttle, which began in 1987, was halted during the reconstruction of Venice Boulevard. That job ended last summer.
