Elysian Park : Park Bond, Pipeline Meetings

Two Los Angeles citizens groups have scheduled activities this week.
The Citizens Committee to Save Elysian Park will conduct an informational meeting to discuss the 1994 Park Bond Act and what residents can do to support it.
Ken Masterson of the Planning and Conservation League in Sacramento will address the meeting from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today at Elysian Heights Elementary School Auditorium on Echo Park Avenue at Baxter Street.
A rally by residents protesting the building of an oil pipeline through the old Taylor Yard railroad facility in the Cypress Park area will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Cypress Park Recreation Center, Pepper Avenue and San Fernando Road.
