Glendale : Bank Robber Gets $1,670

Police sought a robber who got away with $1,670 in cash from a Glendale bank.
No one was injured and no weapons were used during the robbery at 2:25 p.m. Monday at Sanwa Bank, 400 N. Glendale Ave.
The robber, 20 to 25 years old, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, walked up to a teller and handed her a letter threatening her life if she did not hand over money, according to Glendale police. He gave the teller a yellow shopping bag to put cash in. He also demanded money from another teller, who filled the bag with more bills. The robber fled.
