South Coast Plaza, Rodeo Drive Connection: Where do Southern Californians shop when they want upscale merchandise?
Rodeo Drive and South Coast Plaza, according to a recent article in Women’s Wear Daily, which compares and contrasts the two retail meccas.
The two shopping areas have their differences, but WWD reports that “these two distinct shopping districts have more in common than even South Coast Plaza developer Henry Segerstrom imagined when he launched South Coast in 1967.”
And what are those common traits? Both shopping districts bill themselves as home to the world’s best-known retail names. And both Rodeo Drive and South Coast Plaza are struggling to persuade Southern Californians to line up at cash registers in those stores.
