CHICAGO — A judge convicted of conspiracy is seeking a new trial, saying the government withheld damaging information about two gang members who testified against him.
Thomas Maloney, a former circuit court judge, was convicted April 16 of fixing or conspiring to fix three murder trials and another felony case. One of the cases involved an El Rukn gang “general” accused of a double slaying.
