A 23-year-old Panorama City man was fatally shot outside an Encino apartment building Tuesday morning after witnesses said he argued with a man and woman who fled the scene in separate cars, Los Angeles police said.
Moises Benjamin Diaz died at Northridge Hospital Medical Center about 10:15 a.m. after he was shot in the head, authorities said.
Witnesses told police that about 7:45 a.m., they heard Diaz arguing with a man and woman outside an apartment complex in the 5600 block of Lindley Avenue and then the sound of gunshots, Lt. George Rock said.
Diaz was found lying in a grassy area in front of the apartment building, Rock said.
Diaz and the suspects are not believed to be residents of the complex, Rock said.
