Ruling Stands: The Nevada Supreme Court has sided with rock band Judas Priest in a long-running case stemming from the suicides of two Nevada men in 1985. The men’s families had sought $6.2 million from the rock band, charging that suicide messages contained in the group’s “Stained Class” album caused the two to shoot themselves. The state’s high court rejected the families’ claims, upholding a 1990 district judge’s ruling that the subliminal messages were unintentional and that there was no proof the messages caused the deaths.
