Drunk-Driving Arrest Tally Reaches 37

The number of drunk-driving arrests in Ventura County since the start of the Memorial Day weekend stood at 37 late Monday, the California Highway Patrol said.
The motorists were arrested between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday.
The beefed-up patrols for the holiday weekend were scheduled to end at midnight Monday, CHP officials said.
A final tally for weekend arrests would be released today, officials said.
