Charting Rock History: The history of rock ‘n’ roll will be charted in a new 10-hour PBS series that traces the evolution of the genre from its roots up to the present. “Rock & Roll” includes interviews and performances by rock legends, as well as archival footage, and is slated for premiere in 1995-96. Also planned to join PBS’ schedule at that time is “The People’s Century,” a 26-episode series examining the role of the common person and the rise of mass politics.
