The Dead concert isn’t the only New Year’s Eve action. Prince is throwing an invitation-only New Year’s Eve celebration at his Paisley Park studio outside of Minneapolis, and some of the Rolling Stones will be greeting the new year in Miami Beach. Prince’s party for 300 people--at $200 per person--is a benefit designed to raise money for Minnesota’s homeless. Meanwhile, Ron Wood and some other Rolling Stones featured players--saxman Bobby Keys and keyboardist Ian MacLagan--will kick out the jams at Woody’s on the Beach in Miami Beach.
