China executed a 22-year-old man for the fatal stabbing of a college student earlier this month that sparked student demonstrations, the official New China News Agency said. The agency did not say how the convicted man, Ma Qingjun, was killed. Most executions in China are by a bullet to the head. Ma, a self-employed bicycle repairman, was sentenced to death Dec. 23. He and a companion, Wang Yanjun, 16, trespassed on the campus of the University of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade in Beijing on Dec. 5 and picked a quarrel with a student. The fight ended with Ma stabbing the student, 19-year-old Zang Wei, who later died.
