Quarterback Dee Dowis of the Air Force, who set a National Collegiate Athletic Assn. rushing record for quarterbacks, is expected to miss the Freedom Bowl because of a broken wrist.
Dowis’ wrist has not healed since the regular-season finale Nov. 21. Steve Letnich, a sophomore, will probably start in his place.
