I have enjoyed “St. Elsewhere” since its beginning--at least until recently. In the last month’s episodes the story line has become foolish and almost soapy. Still more frustrating to me is the tightly focused photography. The actors are shown in many upper-body shots, which brings the viewer uncomfortably close to the action.
