“My Country: Right Or Wrong,” a British Broadcasting Corp. radio series featuring interviews with nine government intelligence officials, has been the focus of a freedom of information tug-of-war. Just before the first segment of the three-part series was set to air last week, a High Court judge upheld a temporary ban placed on the show Dec. 4. Although the BBC said that no sensitive information had been disclosed, British Attorney General Sir Patrick Mayhew expressed concern that the officials may have breached secrecy oaths and harmed national security. A full trial--to decide whether the programs will ever be aired in Britain--will take place next year.
