High School Basketball : Lynch Sinks 3 Late Free Throws as Crespi Overtakes Serra, 62-59

Ken Lynch had a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead Crespi to a 62-59 victory over Serra in the fifth-place game of the Tournament of Champions on Saturday night at Cal Poly Pomona.
Serra took a one-point lead with less than four minutes to play, but Lynch made three critical free throws to secure the win for Crespi (7-4).
Bill Foudy had 11 points and Pat Brady had nine points and 12 rebounds for Crespi.
Bel-Air Prep 75, Oakwood 69--Despite a 49-point, 24-rebound effort by Mitch Butler, Oakwood (8-1) lost in the championship game of the Bel-Air tournament.
Camp Verde (Arizona) 56, Providence 45--Camp Verde expanded a three-point lead by outscoring Providence, 17-9, in the fourth quarter to win the consolation championship in the Parker (Arizona) tournament.
Peter Mirkovich scored 11 points and Gary Arakelian had 8 points and 11 rebounds for Providence (1-7).
GIRLS
Thousand Oaks 56, Fountain Valley 38--Shani Smyth came off the bench to score a game-high 16 points for the Lancers (6-1) in a first-round game in the Santa Barbara tournament.
Bell-Jeff 51, Louisville 40--Bell-Jeff went on a 21-2 run in the second quarter en route to victory in the third-place game of the Burroughs tournament. Farah Dancs led Bell-Jeff (4-5) with 12 points.
