Ramirez, Whitaker Win; Title Bout Set

World Boxing Council lightweight champion Jose Luis Ramirez of Mexico and Pernell Whitaker posted victories Saturday night in Paris in tuneups for a March title bout.
Ramirez (101-5) knocked out John Rafuse in the fourth round of their scheduled 10-round bout. Whitaker (15-0), a gold medalist in the 1984 Olympic Games who won 193 fights as an amateur, stopped Davey Montana in the fourth round.
Whitaker will fight Ramirez for the title March 12 in Paris.
