Judge Throws Out Norby Walters’ Suit

ATLANTA — A federal judge Friday threw out agent Norby Walters’ $500,000 lawsuit against former Auburn running back Brent Fullwood, now with the Green Bay Packers, ruling invalid a contract Fullwood signed with Walters before finishing his college career.
“We decline to serve as paymaster of the wages of crime, or referee between thieves,” U.S. District Judge Charles Brieant wrote in his ruling.
Walters had sued to recover $8,042 he gave Fullwood in 1986 before the running back began his senior season, in violation of NCAA rules. He also sought $500,000 because Fullwood dismissed him and hired another agent.
