Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : Officials Call Origin of House Fire Suspicious

Firefighters extinguished a blaze “of suspicious origin” in a vacant residence at 715 Olive St. shortly after the fire broke out at 2:24 p.m. Friday. There were no injuries.
Fire Department Capt. Howard Hubert said that arson has not been firmly established as the cause of the fire, but that an investigation is continuing. He said the blaze apparently started in a bedroom of the single-story frame house. Hubert estimated damage at $5,000.
