Cal-Turf and Pacific Sod have entered into a letter of intent to merge under the Pacific Sod banner, officials of the two Camarillo firms announced. The merger will bring together more than 300 employees at nine production facilities with a combined capability of growing and marketing 3,100 acres of sod a year. Cal-Turf pioneered the introduction of pre-grown grass in California in 1958.
