Toro Cagers to Play Azusa on Saturday, Try to Even Record

The Cal State Dominguez Hills men’s basketball team will play host to Azusa Pacific University in a non-conference game Saturday night at 7:30.
Azuza Pacific, an NAIA school, is 2-7 and Dominguez Hills is 3-4.
Toro Coach Dave Yanai is expected to return 6-7 junior center Anthony Blackmon to the starting lineup. Blackmon, the team’s leading scorer, was benched for the first half of last week’s 84-66 victory over San Francisco State because Yanai was not happy with his play in a 76-63 loss to Biola University.
In his absence, 6-5 freshman forward Dezi Hazely took over the team lead in rebounding. Hazely is averaging 7.7 rebounds a game. Blackmon dropped to 7.3.
Dominguez Hills will be at home against Cal State Hayward on Tuesday night.
