Aaron Spelling Productions’ income rose 20% to $7 million for the first quarter, primarily because of a non-recurring gain of $3.5 million from American Broadcasting Co. as part of the modification and extension of its agreement with ABC. Included in the year-ago period was a non-recurring charge of $750,000 for expenses related to Aaron Spelling’s reorganization. Revenue for the Los Angeles company declined 2% to $29.5 million.
