Bush Calls North a Hero
Our esteemed vice president must believe that the American public are a bunch of idiots if he thinks they agree with his assertion that North “will go down in history as a hero and true patriot.”
North and his cronies broke the law and they lied to the Congress. Their nefarious activities cost the taxpayers millions of dollars--and worse than that this hero created a climate of distrust, suspicion and cynicism among the citizenry that will take years to erase--if ever.
Yes, North and company should be honored as heroes--but not in the United States. This bunch of pseudo-patriots deserve the accolades of the Iranian government but not the adulation and endorsement of our vice president.
