East Germany has decided to participate in the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, and is expected to make an official announcement soon, the West German magazine Der Spiegel said.
The magazine said East Germany will be the first Soviet bloc country to officially announce it will send a team to Seoul.
