Another Chance for Homeless
Hats off to the Irvine City Council for taking steps to shelter the homeless, even though its efforts have been thwarted at the moment. The council is to be commended not only by the county’s needy, but by the city’s less courageous neighbors who express concern but let conservative political pressures keep them from action.
Only 10 days before Christmas, on Dec. 15, these cities and all Orange County residents will have a chance at the Irvine City Council meeting to show the Christian spirit by giving more than lip service to providing shelter for those who have none.
