Senate OKs McLaughlin as Secretary of Labor

WASHINGTON — The Senate on Friday approved, 94-0, President Reagan’s choice of Ann Dore McLaughlin to be secretary of labor.
A former undersecretary of the Interior, McLaughlin, 46, succeeds William E. Brock III, who resigned in October to manage the presidential campaign of Senate Republican leader Bob Dole of Kansas.
