Marina Gets Chance to Stop Buena String

Dawn Charroin scored 16 points and Dee Dee Stigar and Liberty Brewster scored 11 points each to lead Marina High School to 58-34 victory over Ventura in one semifinal of the 11th annual Buena tournament Friday.

Brewster and Stigar had 10 rebounds each for Marina (5-0).

Marina plays host Buena, which also won Friday, in the final tonight at 7. This is the 11th tournament final for Buena, which has won the first 10. Buena has a 32-0 record in the first 10 years of the tournament.
