A man pleaded innocent to charges that he slipped into a Fresno television studio during a live newscast, pointed a toy gun at a sportscaster and demanded a religious message be read over the air. David Pretzer, 21, was arraigned on five felony counts, including one of robbery. That was for the 10 minutes of air time lost when KJEO blacked out the newscast and ran advertisements until police arrived. The incident occurred less than four months after a man brandished a toy pistol at Los Angeles television newsman David Horowitz while he was reporting live on KNBC. Pretzer will have a preliminary hearing in Fresno Municipal Court on Dec. 22.
