All-South Coast : Five Schools Pack Ranks of Times’ Team

The Times’ 1987 All-South Coast team is dominated by Poly, Millikan and Wilson of the Moore League and Cerritos and Dominguez of the San Gabriel Valley League.
Poly has four players on the team: wide receiver Tony McCullouch, offensive tackle Mike Loyola, defensive lineman Marcellous Elder and defensive back Marquez Pope.
From Millikan are defensive end Bob Crane and linebackers Pat Smith and Henry Worcestor.
Wilson placed running back Patrick Scott, offensive guard Bob Pierce and linebacker Murphy Duckett.
Cerritos’ four representatives are running back Darrell Thompson, offensive guard Jeff Duke, defensive lineman Michael Franklin and kicker D.J. Barker.
Dominguez placed tight end Derrick Thomas, linebacker Marvin Hunt and defensive back Eric Barnes.
St. Anthony also had three players named: quarterback Dan O’Shea, defensive lineman Tony Cantania and defensive back Donald Levingston.
The rest of the team: wide receiver Anthony Jones of Lakewood and offensive tackle Tim Hall and center Eric Carter of Centennial.
