Pasadena : Complaints About Cable
Residents packed the board chambers at City Hall on Tuesday to complain about broken promises and poor performance by the city’s cable television operator, Choice Television.
The public hearing was the first step in negotiations between the city and Choice Television, which is asking for relief from several obligations in its original 1984 contract.
Most of the speakers demanded that Choice, formerly Falcon Cable Television, live up to its obligation to support public access channels, improve its billing system and wire the entire city. Several areas, including Linda Vista, do not have cable television because the company believes that providing it there would cost too much.
