Firestone Tire & Rubber’s income jumped 70% to $145 million for the fiscal year ended Oct. 31. The Chicago company credited improved operating results in all of its businesses, as well as a boost in after-tax foreign currency gains. Revenue was up 10% to $3.9 billion. Fourth-quarter income totaled $29 million, a turnaround from a loss of $36 million in the year-ago period.
