Deere & Co. increased its quarterly common stock dividend to 12.5 cents a share from 6.25 cents, payable Feb. 1 to shareholders of record Dec. 31 . . . Akron, Ohio-based Gencorp said it completed the previously reported sale of its RKO Pictures subsidiary to Entertainment Acquisition Co., a group jointly formed by RKO Pictures management and Wesray Capital Corp., for about $40 million . . . Shaklee Corp. said it has authorized the repurchase of up to 1 million shares (about 7.6%) of its common stock outstanding. The San Francisco-based firm also reported that it has agreed in principle to purchase substantially all of the assets of Armstrong Roses from Moet-Hennessy Louis Vuitton of France.
