Local News in Brief : Costa Mesa : Cancer Society Seeking Help for Eight Families
- Share via
The American Cancer Society is seeking donations of toys, clothing and canned goods to help brighten the Christmas holidays for eight Orange County families affected by cancer.
The families, some with children who are cancer patients, have suffered from the financial burden of medical costs, society officials said. Others are senior citizens who are virtually alone, they said.
Cancer society officials suggested that those wishing to contribute gifts, including new and wrapped toys, Christmas decorations, cash and gift certificates, should deliver them by Dec. 18 to the society’s office, 1503 S. Coast Drive, Suite 110, Costa Mesa.
The donations are tax deductible.
For details about the family members’ age, size or sex, or for more information, call the society at (714) 751-0441.
