Were I Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley, I would be insulted to have my name associated with the L.A. International Terminal.
Have you ever had the experience of meeting a plane there at 1 a.m.? The arrival-departure signs are inoperative, the concession stand closed--as is the information booth. The three ladies at the top of the ramp appear to have only one duty--keep that ramp clear when a fortunate plane full of passengers arrive but don’t give out any information! What a welcome to the United States! I’ve never seen such a cold and impersonal spot.
