“A Grand Tour of L.A.’s Kingdom of Rock,” by Robert Hilburn (Oct. 25), overlooked business managers, who can act as the support system for personal managers, the reporting entity for agents, a sounding board for the attorneys and the matchmaker for new management when the old isn’t working. It may very well be the manager, attorney and agent who lead an artist to fame, but it is the business manager who leads the artist to retain his fortune.
