Regarding Chris Willman’s review of Def Leppard’s recent concert (“Knock on Metal, Def Leppard Is Back,” Nov. 24), he attributes the lyrics “She’s got legs, and knows how to use them” to the Pretenders ?!!
Any rock fan worth his or her FM dial knows those words are from ZZ Top’s paean to pulchritude, “Legs.”
Besides, I can’t picture Pretenders lead singer Chrissie Hynde belting out an ode to a great pair of gams. Willman doesn’t have a leg to stand on--no more backstage passes for him.
