A South Bay Municipal Court judge ordered a 45-year-old Lomita man to stand trial on seven sexual molestation charges involving four children, but dismissed similar charges against his wife.
Richard Knox will be arraigned in Torrance Superior Court Sept. 15 on charges that he sexually molested his 6-year-old son and neighbor girls ages 4 and 6 during a four-month period last summer.
South Bay Municipal Court Judge Norris Goodwin also ordered Knox to stand trial on four molestation charges dating back more than five years. Those charges involve a cousin who was 9 at the time of the alleged attacks.
Eight molestation charges against Sharon Knox, 30, were dismissed when the two neighbors recanted earlier statements that they allegedly made to police and a deputy district attorney.
