Jeffrey Martinez, 29, a Latino man was fatally shot at 12309 E. Carson St. in Hawaiian Gardens at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24. Authorities said the man was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:40 p.m. Detectives with the Sheriff’s homicide bureau are investigating.
