MLB great Iván Rodríguez’s former Miami home looks to catch a buyer

A waterfront Mediterranean-style estate formerly owned by MLB Hall of Famer Iván “Pudge” Rodríguez is up for grabs in Miami for $22.5 million.

The mansion, built in 1937 and recently renovated, sits on more than an acre with 175 feet of water-way frontage and a private dock.

The main house has around 10,500 square feet of interior space and elegant interior details such as wood-beamed ceilings, sparkling chandeliers and hardwood floors. In the master suite, two sets of French doors open to a private terrace.

Including the guesthouse, there are nine bedrooms and 12 bathrooms.

A 22,000-gallon swimming pool and spa, a koi pond and a sculptural courtyard garden fill out more than an acre of grounds.

Records show the home last traded hands in 2016 for $19 million.

A 14-time All-Star, Rodríguez spent the majority of his career with the Texas Rangers, with whom he won the American League Most Valuable Player award in 1999. In 2003, he won a World Series title as a member of the Florida Marlins.

Last year, the retired catcher was elected into the MLB Hall of Fame in his first year on the voter’s ballot.
